Frequently asked questions
Our program is only the right fit if you are committed to maintaining a lifelong relationship with us as your breeder. We require ongoing communication throughout your puppy’s life, from updates on their health and development, to sharing milestones and staying in touch as part of our extended family.
This is not a one-time transaction. We are selective with placements because we want to ensure our dogs are raised in homes that respect our values, and families who are willing to keep us involved for the lifetime of their dog.
If consistent communication and long-term commitment are not something you’re comfortable with, then our program will not be the right match.
Our dogs do not carry AKC registration because our foundation started with three females imported from Mexico from a small hobby breeder who did not registered her lines .
Despite the absence of paperwork, these females had outstanding health clearances and, most importantly, a COI below 5% a number rarely seen in European lines, where it is often 30% or higher.
From my experience, lower COI directly translates to healthier, sharper, and more capable dogs. For us, that is far more valuable than a registration number.
If you are looking for lines and pedigree, I am not the breeder for you
Every dog in our program undergoes full genetic health testing for breed-specific conditions, eye exams, and structural evaluations. Only dogs who meet our strict health and temperament requirements are considered for breeding.
You can find each dog's genetic disease panel and OFA results under the "Meet Our Pack" section. Please note that this health testing is performed only on our adult breeding dogs, not on each individual puppy.
Yes. All puppies placed through out our program are required to be spayed or neutered by the age of 2 years old. We do not recommend altering earlier than two, as advised by our veterinarian and reproductive specialist.
Waiting until full physical and hormonal maturity supports healthier growth plates, improve joint development, balanced hormone regulation, and overall long-term wellbeing
Our contract clearly outlines this requirement and proof of sterilization must be provided once completed.
Once a puppy leaves our care, we are not financially responsible for any medical expenses. We will always provide guidance and as much help as possible, but all veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility.
This is why every puppy leaves our program with a full health exam from a licensed veterinarian. Buyers are also required to take their puppy to their own licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pick-up or delivery for a wellness exam and must notify us of the results. Failure to complete this step voids any agreement for a refund.
In the rare case that a congenital issue is diagnosed during this period, the puppy must be returned to us, and the purchase price will be refunded. We do not offer financial compensation beyond this.
After reviewing all of our FAQs, please reach out to us on Instagram to share your interest. Please note that applications are only send once a litter is born. If not litter is available , it is important to stay in contact with us, as we only move forward with families who remain engaged.
If your application is approved, we will schedule a video call. Should there be a mutual connection after the call, a non-refundable deposit of $300 via Zelle will be required to reserve your puppy.
If after reviewing all the information on my website you still have questions, please message me on instagram. I do not schedule call for anyone who is not currently moving through the application process.
We completely understand how exciting it is to meet the puppies in person! However, for their health and safety, we do not allow home visits before they are ready to go home. Our nursery is kept as a clean, controlled environment to protect the puppies' developing immune systems.
You will, however be invited to our home on pick up day to meet your puppy and take them home. Until then, we provide regular photo and video updates so you can watch your puppy grow.
Absolutely! We require ongoing updates throughout your puppy's life. This includes health information, photos and regular communication at major milestones. We specifically ask for high- quality photos of your dog groomed to standard as they grow.
These updates allow us to see how each puppy develops and help us evaluate the success of every pairing in our program. This commitment continues for the rest of your puppy's life.
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. if at any point you're not longer able to care for your dog, we require that the dog be returned to us -no matter their age.
This ensures that every dog from our program always has a safe and loving home. We do not allow our dogs to be rehomed, surrendered, or placed in shelters. Our commitment to each of our puppies is lifelong.
The waiting time for a puppy typically ranges from six months or longer, depending on the litter. We do not rush placements. Priority is always given to families who have demonstrated patience, commitment, and alignment with our program values.
We are currently working out the details on adding a waiting list to our program.
We keep our program small and family focused to ensure every puppy receives the best possible care and attention. Typically, we only have one litter at a time. This allow us to give each mom and her puppies the individual time, love and socialization they need to grow happy, healthy and well-adjusted.
If after reviewing my website and instagram you're still unsure whether my program is the right fit for you, or if you have little to no knowledge of the English Cocker Spaniel breed, please do not reach out. I am not here to convince you that my program is the right fit or that an ECS is the right breed for you.
I dedicate my time to families who have done their research, understand the breed's needs and have done their research on the breed.
Please do not contact me if you intent to disregard or break my non-breeding agreement. All of my puppies are placed on strict spay/neuter contract, and violating this agreement has serious legal consequences. My contract legally enforceable and includes financial penalties, reclaiming of the dog, and exclusion from any future placements. I am extremely protective of the ECS breed and maintain this policies to preserve its health, temperament and integrity.
Please note that I do not schedule calls or video chats with anyone who has not submitted an application. All communication is handle through instagram.
